Shanley Park Regulations
Welcome to Shanley Park. This park is maintained by the Shanley Park Association for the enjoyment of all visitors and the preservation of the Shanley Sculpture Garden and its surrounding landscape.
Park Hours
Park hours are 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily.
The park may close temporarily for maintenance, safety concerns, weather events, or approved special events.
General Use
Shanley Park is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
Areas of the park are not available for private reservations or exclusive use, except as authorized by the Shanley Park Association for approved community events.
Visitors are expected to share park amenities courteously and respect the experience of others.
Protecting the Park
To preserve the park’s natural beauty, public art, and amenities:
Do not climb on, move, deface, or damage sculptures, fountains, signs, trees, plants, or other park features.
Do not dig, remove, collect, or disturb rocks, plants, wildlife, or landscape materials.
Motorized vehicles are prohibited outside designated parking areas, except for authorized maintenance, emergency, or accessibility vehicles.
Dispose of trash properly and help keep the park clean.
Entering waterways is prohibited unless specifically authorized.
Events, Commercial Activities, and Vendors
The following activities require prior written approval from the Shanley Park Association:
Organized events, festivals, or gatherings
Commercial photography or filming
Sales, solicitation, fundraising, or vending
Classes, camps, performances, or fee-based activities
Installation of tents, stages, signage, or temporary structures
Use of amplified sound systems
Service or consumption of alcohol
The use of the Shanley Park name or branding is not allowed.
Requests to serve alcohol at approved events must comply with all applicable laws, permits, insurance requirements, and Shanley Park Association policies.
Approval for one event, vendor, or activity does not guarantee future approval.
Safety and Courtesy
Follow all local, state, and federal laws.
Illegal substances are prohibited.
Alcohol is prohibited except during Shanley Park Association-approved events and only in designated areas.
Firearms are permitted only as allowed by applicable law.
Fires, fireworks, and open flames are prohibited unless specifically authorized.
Pets are welcome but must remain on a leash, and owners must promptly clean up after them.
Bicycles, scooters, skateboards, and similar devices must be operated safely and courteously.
Respect other visitors and help maintain a family-friendly environment.
Liability
Visitors use Shanley Park at their own risk.
The Shanley Park Association, its board members, volunteers, partners, and sponsors are not responsible for accidents, injuries, lost or stolen items, or damage to personal property.

Prohibited behavior for more information on these regulations. Violation of park rules is cause for immediate ejection from the park.
